Summary

Toyoda Gosei North America (headquartered in Troy, MI) has an opening for a Software Engineer in the CIS department. The Software Engineer functions with a high degree of autonomy, and is responsible for providing professional level software engineering for Toyoda Gosei (TG) North America Corporation (TGNA) and TGNA Manufacturing Companies (AMCs).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Design system processes, user interface(s), and ensure user experience meets requirements and expectations
• Provide expertise and support to NAMCs on quality and software process improvement (SPI)
• Collaborate with NAMCs to centralize systems & ensure horizontal deployment (Yokoten) of knowledge/standards
• Perform analysis to determine functional/user, and conceptual/logical/physical design requirements for system and user interface design and functionality
• Software programming as needed to ensure system stability, usability, and functional requirements are met utilizing ASP.Net and C# languages
• Collaborate cross functionally to ensure effective system deployment, including training, for all NAMCs
• Develop a proprietary IOT system, ensuring machine interoperability and centralized data aggregation
• Partner with NAMCs on best practices to improve Supply Chain costs/labor needed to support projects
• Drive optimization by being actively engaged in continuous improvement efforts
• Function in a highly collaborative environment where flexibility and teamwork is crucial to organizational success

Qualifications and Competencies

• Bachelor of Computer Information Systems or related field is required
• Minimum of three years in software development is required
• Ability to program systems utilizing ASP.Net/Cloud SaaS and C# environments is required
• Demonstrated experience with queries and triggers utilizing SQL and/or Oracle databases
• Experience analyzing and documenting user/system requirements is required
• Demonstrable experience working with Cloud, Web, and Local server development is required
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suites 2016 or newer is required
• Ability to consistently meet deadlines is required
• Effective verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills with all staff and management are required
• Effective attention to detail, problem solving and organizational skills is required
